I slept in until 6:45am, or so. Even though I had no plans of making eastward progress today, this day was jam packed with so many odds and ends to get done. Before riding out to my parent's home, I stopped at Porky's to have a quick conversation with the bar manager about this evening's event. From here, I rode out to my parents house. The big to do items were: - Wash the tent (blasted bear spray). - Dry the tent. - Wash and dry clothing. - Wash and dry water bottles. - Schedule bill payments. - Unpack and repack all gear. - Lunch with my older brother. - Get a massage. - Pick up and drop off Luke at my parent's house. - Call Garrett (good friend that's joining me for a few days of riding out of Chicago). - Get to Porky's by 4:00pm. In summary, the massage was very relaxing. In fact, this was the only time I had to rest my eyes during this hectic day. I literally rolled into the Porky's parking lot at 4pm sharp. This evening's gathering was just as successful and enjoyable as the event the night before at Tipsy's. Catching up with friends and meeting a few new people was rejuvenating, which was just what I would need for riding to Chicago the next day. Instead of riding my bike back to my parent's neighborhood, a good friend, Steve, from DoIt Best gave me a ride back to my parent's home (which I'm thankful for). From here, I continued to unwind by going to my parent's neighbor's place for a concert they were having. What a day of "rest!"
