Today we had a goal in mind that required riding, however our destination was not an unfamiliar town somewhere off in the east. Rather, our goal was to find a bike shop that could assist Garrett with fixing the rear rack on his bicycle. Fortunately, Missoula has an abundance of bike shops (no fewer than 10). The tricky part was finding a shop that not only offered the part that Garrett needed but was also open on a Sunday. The first two bike shops that we went to were unable to offer the part that Garrett's bike needed. Luckily, third time was a charm. The Bike Hanger has two different locations in Missoula. From their downtown store, we were directed to their main store about a mile and a half away, where they did have the replacement rack that Garrett's bike required. The main store was quiet on this early Sunday afternoon. Unlike the first two stops, right away the store owner was hands on in attempting to find a solution for fixing the rear rack on Garrett's bike. While Garrett's bike was getting worked on, I enjoyed browsing the store and sitting next to the well-behaved store dog. After the compatible rack was installed on Garrett's bike, we rode on to a local brewery recommended by the bike shop owner (The Kettlehouse). From here, we went to Charlie B's, a local dive bar recommend by an acquaintance in Seattle. Unfortunately, we learned that Charlie B's doesn't serve food on Sundays. Despite this fact, we enjoyed a neighboring Vietnamese establishment. From here, we shopped around for odds and ends for the road ahead following Missoula. Afterwards, we relaxed at the hotel courtesy of the pool and hot tub. Dinner the night before at the Montana Club was satisfying enough to have again this evening. We turned in shortly after 9pm for our 5am wake-up call, as we on to Lincoln next.
